~ Christian Dior
Strawberries are Red is a national call for entry—open to all ages—for 2D or 3D artwork containing or about strawberries, or simply containing the color of strawberries. The Strawberries are Red exhibit coincides with the 43rd Annual Troy Strawberry Fest (www.gostrawberries.com). The Troy Strawberry Fest is held the first weekend in June and is one of the top-attended festivals in the state of Ohio. The theme for this year’s Troy Strawberry Fest is “A Berry WACO Weekend”. Artwork submitted for the exhibit does not necessarily relate strawberries or to the Troy Strawberry Fest theme.
ADJUDICATION and AWARDS
Our juror for the 2019 Exhibition is Troy Ohio's own, Daniel Brown. Daniel is a graduate of Goshen College and most notably known for his award-winning automotive fine art paintings of cars he finds on Craigslist. Daniel has been featured in numerous exhibits across the country and published in dozens of car magazines and art journals over the past 13 years. For more information about Daniel Brown's extensive fine art work and commissions, visit www.autoexpressionist.com.
Juror awards will be announced during the Opening Reception on May 29 from 6:00 - 8:00PM. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place artist winners in both youth (< age 18) and adult (age 18+) categories.
