ERIC LOY & KEITH LYKINS In Concert
Saturday, April 11, 2020 @ 7:00PM

Please join us as fingerstyle guitarists Eric Loy and Keith Lykins perform at the historic Mayflower Arts Center, located at 9 West Main Street in downtown Troy, on Saturday, April 11 at 7:00PM.  Advance tickets are available for purchase online at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4525041, or $10 cash at the door.

ERIC LOY
Eric Loy began his half century love affair with the guitar when the Beatles first appeared on the Ed Sullivan show in February of 1964. Since receiving his first guitar at the age of 10, he has rarely been seen without it. Eric began by playing rock and roll, then became interested in classical, jazz, and avant guard styles that include percussion and making full use of every part of the instrument. After the death of Michael Hedges in 1997, he began playing harp guitar and is currently playing a 24- string instrument custom built for him. He is a prolific composer in a broad range of styles, so no matter what your musical tastes, you will find things  you can appreciate. Ericʼs playing ranges from the merely complex and intellectually stimulating to jawdroppingly frenetic. You just never know what will happen when Eric Loy picks up a guitar, but you donʼt want to miss it!. For more info, visit http://www.ericloy.com.

KEITH LYKINS
Keith Lykins is a fingerstyle guitarist an instrumentalist, a one man band, a singer-songwriter as well as a consummate entertainer. His music encompasses aspects of traditional classical music, Spanish, Arabic and Americana influences. He plays and sings a wide but cohesive mixture of cover and original music. From rock music cover tunes performed in a truly novel way to Arabic, Turkish, World Music, Blues and Acoustic Percussive Guitar on the 6 string guitar, to 9 string drum guitar and fretless guitar, his music shines its way through unexpected gulfs and valleys of emotion. Keith is composer, performer, recording artist, writer and inventor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Guitar Performance as well as advanced studies in composition, orchestration and ethnomusicology have provided the foundation which allows him to further his journey dedicated to the exploration of international music and to become a trail blazer in the world of guitar. Keith developed the 9 string drum guitar in 2011, taking his music to a different plateau and raising the bar in the use of percussive techniques on the acoustic guitar.
