"Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
~ Ferris Bueller

We often go about our days so quickly, that we overlook the everyday beauty that surrounds us. We miss the beauty in the simple things. It’s everywhere…if we only stop and take the time to look. Look up. Look down. Look at each other. FRAMED is an exhibition of 2D framed photographic work. The work will be on display in the Mayflower Arts Center’s Lobby Gallery, July 5 – August 5, 2017.

Take time to find beauty in the things that surround you - in nature, in people, flowers, buildings around town, graffiti, garbage… ANYWHERE! Anyone can unleash their inner artist through this project! Beauty is how you see it.

PROCESS:
  1. Visit Gallery and select a frame before July 1 at 6pm, during regular hours*.
  2. Pay $5 entry fee/frame and provide contact information on signup sheet.
  3. Walk around town and use frame as a viewfinder to capture beauty.
  4. Find beauty.
  5. Capture it in a photograph.
  6. Print the photo (see printing suggestions below).
  7. Put photo in the frame.
  8. Complete the inventory tag on back of frame.
  9. Return it to Gallery before 6pm on July 1*.
