Layer by layer art strips life bare.  ~ Robert Musil

Strata: Explorations of Fixed Dimension Layered Art is an international call for entry for layered artwork with 12in x 12in (30.48cm x 30.48cm) dimensions. The juried exhibit is being held in conjunction with the annual, month-long Troy Quilt Walk in historic downtown Troy, Ohio. Using the Quilt Walk as inspiration for our exhibition, we are seeking artwork that is 12in x 12in and created using three layers. Although the definition of a quilt is “three layers held together in some form or fashion,” the created artwork does not have to be quilt-based or even fabric-art.

The theme of the 2017 Troy Quilt Walk is 60’s: The Times They Are Changin’, inspired by the famous Bob Dylan song. Submitted artwork showing a general or direct connection to the theme would be preferred.

Submission deadline is August 14 at 6:00pm
Entry Fee: $10.00 (non-refundable) per submission*

*Participants receive a $10 gift certificate from inthePatchdesigns.com
